National Chocolate Day!-Nutella & Peanut Butter S’mores

Is it just me, or does it seem like
there is a National Day for everything now?
I mean, come on, National Squirrel Appreciation Day.

Clearly I think that most of these made up “holidays” are just ridiculous.
But today is different.
Today I can get on board…..
Today is National Chocolate Day!

 Y’all, I have a serious sweet tooth &
chocolate is my weakness.
My favorite chocolate?

My niece shares this love.
When she was younger,
she would only eat Nutella bread for breakfast.
Let me tell you, she had the right idea.

Nutella Bread

-bread of your choice
-butter (optional)

Just toast your bread,
add a little butter,
then slather it in the chocolaty deliciousness.
You could also top off your waffles or pancakes with it.
It’s the perfect way to start your day!

If you like chocolate covered strawberries,
you will loooove them dipped in Nutella.
It’s one of my favorite ways to enjoy the stuff.
You’re welcome in advance!

Now, since fall is in full swing,
I thought I would share a little spin
on a classic autumn staple,

Nutella S’mores

-peanut butter
-graham crackers

spread Nutella on one graham cracker
spread peanut butter on the other
roast the marshmallow (or pop in the microwave) &
stick it in between the two.
Smoosh it & devour!!

I love this because you don’t have to wait
for the chocolate to melt,
& there is no better combination
than chocolate & peanut butter!

If you really wanted to fancy things up,
you could try some toasted brioche bread
instead of the traditional graham cracker.
Or for a healthier version, add banana slices.
(Probably not really healthier, but it will make you feel better!)

What is your favorite chocolate snack??

totally agree with you on the nutella. I could face plant into a jar on a regular basis. My favorite chocolate treat has to be a no bake cookie/chocolate oatmeal cookies/peanut butter delights/whatever else you want to call them. It’s my go to when I want to make something that i intend to gorge on and propel my way into gluttony.
