2nd Annual Creekfest!

Our household spent all of last week in celebration of our greatest blessing.

I still can’t believe that he is already 2!  I used to count his age in days & weeks, but they have turned into years at an unimaginable speed.

He changes right before our eyes & I love every new stage that he enters even more than the last.

Now that we’ve entered the toddler phase, he is into everything with an engine, especially trains.

I used Canva to design our one-of-a-kind invitation.

Guests entered on our sidewalk track.

Then my little birthday sign directed them to the back yard where the “ductor” greeted them.

The children played in a train that my amazingly talented best friend at Spring Creek Farm created out of cardboard & wrapping paper in under an hour!  In the final crunch of party prep I had seriously almost given up on this idea, but she came early & made it happen.

I’ve always heard that children enjoy the boxes more than the actual toys, & that totally proved true.  This train was a huge hit!

We had a chili cook-off & pie baking contest, with the winners receiving a jar of homemade Ethridge Family Farm salsa.

The adults played corn hole & hung out by the fire while the kids drove the toy tractor around, taking out dogs & ankles.

Then the party boy did a little demolition work with his new chainsaw (which he refused to go to sleep without!)

I am so thankful for everyone who helped to make Creek’s 2nd birthday so special.  Every night in his prayers he has said “tank you Dod for Treek’s birfday”.  I can’t wait to see how my little Sprout grows over the next year!
